ABOUT RON LEWIS
To launch ministries and connect leaders with resources to impact the world for the glory of God… through preaching the Gospel, planting churches, developing ministries and imparting faith.
Upon graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ron helped establish a campus ministry that eventually grew into King’s Park International Church, touching the universities and communities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. In the years since, he has helped plant more than 100 churches in America and around the world, which in turn have established more than 100 churches in 16 nations.
With the help of Every Nation Ministries, Ron co-founded a dynamic, growing church in New York City (Every Nation NYC) in response to the tragedy of 9/11. The church has been reaching the greater metropolitan area of New York City ever since, and Ron serves as senior minister there. Other ministries he founded include Jordan Lewis Missions, the award-winning Youth Life Foundation of the Triangle and Serving Christians International.
Ron received his theological training from Reformed Theological Seminary, has authored three books (Answering the Call, Standing on the Word and Miracles in Manhattan and wrote the final chapter on “reconciliation” for the late Bill Bright’s final book, Living The Second Mile Life.
Ron is married to speaker/author Lynette Lewis and has three sons, all happily married, and one son with Jesus in heaven. Jordan Lewis Missions was established in honor of his late son, Jordan, and has been very fruitful in helping Unreached People Groups (UPG’s) hear about the Lord Jesus. Ron and Lynette also have young twin daughters and share their time between Raleigh/Durham and New York City.
University Ministry (1982–2015)
Ron Lewis began his ministry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982. What started with open-air preaching in the campus “Pit” grew into a thriving student ministry as many students came to faith in Christ. Over time, that ministry became the foundation for church planting efforts that have led to hundreds of churches around the world. Since its founding, the campus ministry—now known as Every Nation Campus—has continued to serve students at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Ron also had the privilege of writing the final chapter of Dr. Bill Bright’s last book, Living the Second Mile Life. Dr. Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru), was a pioneer in collegiate ministry whose influence has impacted millions of students worldwide.
In partnership with Dr. Rice Broocks and Pastor Jim Laffoon, Ron co-founded Campus Harvest, a movement that gathered tens of thousands of university students from more than 300 colleges and universities across the United States. As students responded to God’s call on their lives, the movement inspired the book Answer the Call, encouraging a new generation to pursue lives of faith and ministry around the world.
Global Church Planting (1986–Present)
King’s Park Church traces its beginnings to 1986 on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. In 1990, the ministry was reestablished as Triangle Christian Fellowship before relocating to a 34-acre property and becoming King’s Park International Church.
Beginning in 1991, many young disciples answered the call to plant churches in communities both locally and internationally. Early church plants included Greenville, North Carolina; L’viv, Ukraine; and the island of Guam. These churches continue to serve and impact their communities today.
Between 1990 and 2002, approximately 100 churches were planted across the United States—including the Raleigh-Durham area, Richmond, New York City, Parsippany, New Jersey, and Philadelphia—as well as internationally in countries such as Korea, China, Taiwan, Poland, Scotland, France, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India.
The legacy of King’s Park continues through generations of church plants that are advancing the Gospel and developing leaders across the nations.
China Ministry (1995–2020)
From 1995 to 2020, Ron partnered with three Chinese leaders to help establish underground leadership training centers throughout every province of China. During a season of extraordinary spiritual growth, millions of people came to faith in Christ, creating an urgent need for biblical training and leadership development.
In 1999, house church leader Zong Rongliang shared the need for one million Bibles to serve the rapidly growing number of new believers. By God’s grace, an estimated two to three million Bibles were distributed through underground networks.
In addition, through partnerships with organizations including Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) and John Maxwell’s EQUIP ministry, more than two million Christian leaders received biblical and leadership training as part of the Million Leaders Mandate initiative.
These efforts helped strengthen and equip leaders serving within China’s growing house church movement during a pivotal season of expansion.
Reaching Unreached People Groups (2014–Present)
A significant turning point in this mission came through the life and legacy of Ron’s late son, Jordan Lewis. Following Jordan’s passion for reaching those who had never heard the Gospel, Jordan Lewis Missions was established in partnership with Oral Roberts University.
During a mission trip to Tanzania, Jordan and the ORU team witnessed members of a previously unreached tribe respond to the message of Jesus Christ. For many, it was the first time they had ever heard the Gospel.
Inspired by this moment, Ron expanded his focus toward reaching Unengaged, Unreached People Groups through church planting and leadership development. With encouragement from Paul Eshleman, founder of the Jesus Film Project, Ron and his team began pursuing communities where Christ was still largely unknown.
Since then, the work has continued to grow through the establishment of thousands of house churches in unreached regions, with reports of more than 12,000 house churches and over 350,000 people coming to faith in Christ.
Today, the mission continues with a commitment to equipping local leaders and bringing the hope of the Gospel to those who have never had the opportunity to hear it—including many communities throughout the Muslim world.
